McDonalds Mini Apple Pies 🍎

Want a healthier, homemade version of the all American dessert? These mini pies taste just like the pies you get at McDonald's, but I know what’s in these. Who knew it only took 15 mins to make and that’s with Prep.



🍎 2 red delicious apples, peeled and finely diced

🍎 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

🍎 1 teaspoon of sugar- you can substitute honey

🍎 juice of half a lemon

🍎 puff pastry

🍎 2 cups of olive oil


icing- want a healthier version skip icing!

🍎 1 cup powder sugar

🍎 1-2 Tablespoon of milk 🍎 splash of vanilla extract


1. Remove one sheet of puff pastry out of the freezer. You want them to defrost a little.

2. Heat up olive oil in a deep-skillet on low/medium heat.

3. Wash and dry apples. Peel and dice apples in small pieces. Add to a microwave safe bowl.

4. Add cinnamon, sugar and lemon juice. Stir!

5. Microwave apple mixture for two mins.

6. When apples are in the microwave, cut puff pastry two ways vertical and three ways horizontal.

7. Remove mixture from microwave, give it another stir.



8. Place a small amount of mixture in the middle of each puff pastry Squares.

9. Fold the puff pastry however you like. Just make sure you pinch all sides to lock in the filling.

10. Fry apple pies 3 mins on each side. You want to make sure you get a golden brown color.



11. Grab a piece of paper towel and place on top of a plate.When apple pies are done place on lined plate to soak up excess oil. Let cool.

12. If you want icing, just add all ingredients in a bowl And mix.

13. When pies are cool, drizzle or dip Pies in icing.

14. Let icing harden before serving.
