Cherry-berry Pie

This is one of my summer faves! The mixture of cherries and strawberries in a warm pie... just makes my mouth water! Plus it’s super easy!

You need...

🍒 1 cup of pitted cherries- sliced in half

🍓 1 cup of strawberries- sliced

🍒 1/2 cup of powder sugar

🍓 Juice of 1 medium lemon

🍒 3 tablespoon of cornstarch

🍓 1 box of pie crust - 2 crust

🍒 1 egg

1. Preheat oven to 350.

2. Clean and slice cherries and strawberries. Place fruit in a skillet, and turn stove top to medium heat.

3. Add the juice of the lemon and powder sugar, stir.

4. Cook on medium heat for about 20 minutes. Make sure to constantly stir.

6. Grab your pie pan, lightly spray with non stick spray. Place one crust in the pan, pushing the edges upward. Using a fork, poke holes throughout. Bake for 7 minutes.

7. Grab 3 tablespoon of the fruit juice from the skillet and pour into a bowl. Add the cornstarch. Mix with whisk.

8. Add mixture back to the skillet, stir. Cook for another 5 minutes. This will help the mixture thicken.

9. Pour the filling in the pie shell.

10. This is were you can get creative. You can either place the other pie sheet on top or cut out shapes. Either way, it will be delicious.

11. Whisk egg in a separate bowl and brush the top of the pie crust.

12. Pop it in the oven for 20-23 minutes, or until the crust is a beautiful golden brown color.
