Apple fritters

Heaven sent!

You need...


šŸŽ 1 cup flour

šŸŽ 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

šŸŽ 1/2 teaspoon salt

šŸŽ 2 teaspoon baking powder

šŸŽ juice of one small lemon

šŸŽ 3 cups of fresh, peeled and diced apples. I used 4 medium size gala apples.

šŸŽ 2 tablespoon of sugar

šŸŽ 2 large eggs, room temperature

šŸŽ 1/4 cup of milk

šŸŽ 4 cups of oil- for frying


Icing

šŸŽ 1 1/4 cup of powder sugar

šŸŽ 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

šŸŽ 4 teaspoon of milk


1. Heat up oil on medium heat in a deep skillet.

2. In a bowl: mix flour, cinnamon, salt and baking powder. Set aside.

3. Wash and dry apples.

4. Peel and dice into small pieces. Place in a bowl.

5. Squeeze lemon over apples. Stir and set aside.

6. Using a paddle attachmeant on electric mixer; beat sugar and eggs til combined.

7. Add dry ingredients slowly into egg mixture.

8. Add milk. You should have a sticky batter.

9. Add half the apples. Whip a few more times to break up the apples.

10. Fold in the rest of the apples.

11. Using a spoon, scoop up a little mixture and carefully drop dough balls into oil. Fritters are meant to be imperfect, so u don’t stress!!

12. They cook about 7-10 mins, depending on the size you make them. Make sure to flip them a few times so they cook evenly on all sides.

13. When done cooking place on a lined plate to help absorb any extra oil. 14.Mix all the icing ingredients together and drizzle over slightly cooled apple fritters.
