Hungarian Rice

I love these type of dishes. I can serve this as a side or even a meal. Sometimes I like to add chicken or even a egg to make hardy.

You will need...

🌶 1 medium white onion

🌶 1/2 of a green pepper

🌶 1/2 of a red pepper

🌶 1 cup brown rice

🌶 2-3 cups of boiling water

🌶 1/2 teaspoon of all purpose seasoning

🌶 2 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley

🌶 2 tablespoon of olive oil

🌶 1 teaspoon of butter- optional

1. Warm up frying pan with olive oil.

2. Clean and dice onion and peppers.

3. Add onion and peppers to frying pan and sauté.

4. When the onions look almost clear, add rice.

5. Brown the rice for about 1-2 mins.

6. Slowly add boiling water to skillet -Stir.

7. You have to pay close attention. When the rice absorbs all the water, see if the rice is fully cooked. Depending on the brand of rice you may need to add more boiling water. The rice I usually use only takes two cups of boiling water and about seven minutes to cook.

8.When rice is cooked, Remove from heat and add the butter, all purpose seasoning and parsley.
